On August 3, 2025, the Manh Ty Pharmacy chain, in collaboration with Exeltis Vietnam, organized a training session on the topic “Clear Skin – Slim Body – Safe Contraception: Effective Counseling at the Pharmacy” for its team of pharmacists.

This event was part of a series of professional development activities aimed at equipping pharmacists with greater confidence in counseling customers on reproductive health while enhancing the quality of pharmacy services.

As the main sponsor, Exeltis Vietnam supported the program with practical contributions, most notably an in-depth lecture delivered by a physician from a leading hospital in Hue on the theme:
“Clear Skin – Slim Body – Safe Contraception: Effective Counseling at the Pharmacy.”

The session focused on current contraceptive methods—from emergency contraceptive pills to daily oral contraceptives—highlighting their respective benefits, guidance on handling missed doses, and addressing common concerns such as weight gain, risk of thrombosis, or potential effects on fertility.

In particular, the fourth-generation daily oral contraceptive pill was introduced, with several notable advantages:

  1. No weight gain during use (1)
  2. Reduction in acne (2)
  3. Relief of menstrual discomfort (3)
  4. Fewer missed pills thanks to the 21+7 regimen

Beyond knowledge sharing, the program also emphasized the important role pharmacies play in community health care. As the physician highlighted:
“The quality of counseling is the key factor that brings customers back to the pharmacy.”

Armed with enhanced knowledge and practical skills, Manh Ty pharmacists are now better positioned to deliver dedicated counseling services, helping customers choose the safest and most appropriate solutions.

Exeltis Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to supporting pharmacies in their professional development journey by providing effective and safe contraceptive solutions, thereby contributing to the improvement of women’s health and quality of life in Vietnam.
